We met Tom & Sharon Salet in 1999 - I knew Sharon was in real estate but we already had a realtor and no intentions of moving at that time. Four years later, a home in our neighborhood was up for sale, our realtor had left the area so I decided to just "give Sharon a call", she gave me the update on the home and we started talking about the housing market on the coast. I invited her to come and see my home and she chose a few homes in my neighborhood for me to look at. She was able to give me a quick assessment on what our home might sell for. When I saw what homes were going for and realized the equity we had in our home, we started looking to upgrade. We found a beautiful home in Alsace Lorraine and were in escrow in less than 2 months. We then listed our home in Moss Beach with Sharon ; Tom said he 'saw' the buyers at the open house that first weekend. He was right - it was in escrow within 5 days.

Last year, we decided to take advantage of the equity in our home to purchase a 2nd/vacation home. Tom took on the task of finding a realtor for us in Lake Tahoe . He interviewed several agents and found the perfect fit for us. We worked over the phone and then met, found a home in 1 weekend and in 1 month closed escrow. Our Tahoe realtor was very experienced and got us a great value for the area.

Sharon and Tom are very good realtors for so many reasons: they have lived here all their lives so they know the area, they know the people and they know the pitfalls of our real estate market too. But most important to me are their values: they have a strong work ethic balanced by a strong commitment to family and friends. They care about the people they work with - they put service before sales. The experience of working with them is both personal and professional. Selling our home and moving out of State was a stressful undertaking. Tom and Sharon performed above and beyond our expectations.  One of the most helpful things they did occurred two days before the close of escrow.  We discovered that the water heater had broken and needed to be replaced.  We found ourselves in a panic.  Tom and Sharon stepped in and found us a plumber who immediately replaced the water heater in less than a day's time.

Throughout the process of selling our home, Tom and Sharon performed professionally, considerate of our needs.  They were always only a phone call away and did their best to accommodate us

When my wife and I began looking at homes, we thought we would never be able to afford to buy a house where we wanted to and we considered buying condos in less desirable neighborhoods.  This was when Tom and Sharon got involved.  Coming highly recommended, we called the Salets to help us negotiate a deal on something that two public school teachers could afford.  To our amazement, Tom and Sharon proved to us that we could buy a single family home in our preferred neighborhood after they negotiated aggressively with the sellers.  Knowing that the home needed some TLC, Tom used his contractor background to get the estimates we needed from reputable contractors even though we did not ask him to do this extra work.  The result was that Tom and Sharon negotiated a price low enough that we were able to buy a home exactly where we wanted it and we still had enough money left over to pay for the necessary improvements on the property before moving in.  With Tom's work on getting estimates, all that I had to do was call the contractors and have them get started.  This was a dream come true and I don't believe it would have been possible without the Salets.  By the way, my wife gave birth to our first child during negotiations and the Salets even came to our hospital room to get our signatures on critical documents so that our deal would not fall through.  I simply cannot recommend Tom and Sharon highly enough.
